The structural integrity and long duration of the metal construction is largely based on the proper preparation of iron surfaces and the application experience as well as the choice of the paint system. The specifications of all industrial coatings require the pretreatment of the steel. This means high pressure hydration by adding an alkaline industrial detergent and then blasting to remove calamine (hot rolled slag in hot rolled steel) before applying any selected color system. Particular care is required at welding points! Sandblasting has the ability to remove the pot, prepare the welding points, and create the microprocessing (profile) required by the paint manufacturer to ensure that the system guarantees the ISO 12944 time warranty.
